The largest community building in South Tawton parish, The Victory Hall has been the village hall since the 1920’s.

The Victory Hall is the home of Little Beacons Pre School and is available for regular or one off hire at all other times.

Like other village halls, users may be attending the meetings of local societies and groups, exhibitions, presentations, money raising events, classes of various types and over the years any number of other pursuits.

Due to its reasonable size, it’s also a popular venue for weddings and parties.  Additionally benefiting from a good size stage it’s also a great choice for artistic or musical productions. Not forgetting every August when The Dartmoor Folk Festival use the hall as one of their festival venues.

Disabled access – Disabled access is via the door at the rear of the building, accessed from the lane to the left of the hall.

Parking – Whilst there is no off road car park for the hall, the village does offer a public car park further down the road. Take the first right and then right again into the recreation ground.

Key features – The hall particularly benefits from its sizeable main hall; offering a generous capacity of 200 for music/ dancing, 152 for theatre style layout and a recommended 120 maximum when fully seated at tables.

Central heating and lighting are included in the hire fee. Coin meters operate the hot water and wall heaters.
